Surfing: Good surfing spots include Easkey in the west of the County Sligo, the Castlegregory Peninsula and Barey Cove in Mizen Head Peninsula. Hurling: Hurling is played with a stick and a ball. You use the stick to hit the ball into a net or above your opponents net. Countering trend towards big money professional athletics, hurling has remained strictly amateur. Hurling is woven deeply into the social fabric of the Irish people.
