Why is TimeSpy so important?
TIMESPY ELITE Why is TimeSpy so important? Without an accurate time reference, there is no knowledge of the accuracy of the time in for any application

TIMESPY ELITE So what does TimeSpy do?
TimeSpy allows the user to measure both time and frequency to exceptional accuracy, without the need for an additional reference, at the point of use. TimeSpy provides unrivalled time accuracy TimeSpy uses GPS together with complex algorithms to reference its internal timebase to UTC. This timebase has been measured by several National Standards bodies and confirmed to be within 15nS of UTC. It is used as the reference for all the measurements

TIMESPY ELITE TimeSpy Elite includes a 1Gbit/s ethernet interface via a front panel SFP. Through the inclusion of this capability, TimeSpy Elite can Measure high speed PTP data (up to 256 packets/sec) Measure GOOSE Messages as defined in IEC Measure Sampled Values as defined in IEC Measure Sequence of Events (SoE) GOOSE/SV/SoE are key parameters in terms of SMART GRID performance

TIMESPY ELITE TimeSpy includes comprehensive datalogging facilities. The resulting datalogs can be exported from TimeSpy for analysis. At typical datalog is shown below

PORTABLE EXPANSION MODULE
The Portable Expansion Module (PEM) provides extra inputs and outputs from TimeSpy Elite. Measurement inputs include HQ, 1PPS, 256Hz, 1MHz, 5MHz, Data Transfer System (DTS), Data Link Processing System (DLPS), and Combat System highway (CSH). The Portable Expansion Unit was designed for support of the UK Navy TFD8000 Systems supplied by TFS. The PEM demonstrates that for applications where specific and custom measurements are required, an extension to TimeSpy Elite can be offered, broadening the application of the product.
