3. Erie Canal
In this ppt I will explain when, where, why, how It was built.
Have you ever heard of the Erie Canal ? If you have do you now were it is ? Well I will tell you a little about it.

4. Why was it built
It was built so that Appalachian Mountains was open to settlers and for a cheap and safer way to transport products.

5. What, Where, when it was built
The Erie canal was built in July 4, 1817 at New York(it was also called Clint’s big ditch) . It open on October It took 12 years to build .It contains 36 locks !

Who built it
Benjamin Wright built it and had some other supporting engineers like Canvass White and Amos Eaton ,but it was De Witt Clinton’s idea.
