What Makes an Effective Disciple?

2. Humility: 1 Corinthians 3:18-19 (NASB)
Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you thinks that he is wise in this age, he must become foolish, so that he may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness before God. For it is written, "He is THE ONE WHO CATCHES THE WISE IN THEIR CRAFTINESS";

3. Admiration: John 15:12-13 (NASB)
"This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you. "Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.

4. Education: 2 Timothy 2:15 (NASB)
Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.

5. Application: 1 Corinthians 9:27 (NASB)
but I discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified.

6. Participation: John 8:32 (NASB)
and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free."
