Smart Pages
5
Smart Pages Department and program staff use these pages to enter funding for graduate students. The page is divided into three categories – stipend, tuition and health/activity fees. Stipend is entered monthly. Tuition is entered quarterly. Either can come from one or more sources. Users must receive training before being granted access.
6
Smart Pages (cont.) There are seven tabs across the top which provide users with a variety of information about individual student. The demographic information at the top includes data regarding the individual student. Users of the smart pages can also run various reports from the beginning dialog boxes. For more information about the Smart pages, please sign up for one of the upcoming open lab/training sessions. Information about the sessions can be found at for/staff/funding/entering-award-data.html.

Award Notice - NRSA

Award Notice - NRSA The amount provided for the Institution Allowance is used by the student working with his PI/advisor for travel to conferences, seminars and other educational expenses. The amount provided for other is the tuition awarded for the student. When requesting the amount the full amount should be requested since NIH only awards a percentage. The amount awarded can be used up front over divided over the quarters. The balance of tuition will be requested from TGS/FSM using the Specials Tool. The amount provided for stipend is the total amount awarded to the student for living expenses. This amount should be divided by 12. More than likely a supplement will need to be provided since the amount awarded is below the TGS minimum stipend rates. You should check with your department as to the source for the supplement.
