4 Discussion Starters What has this been like for you?
How have you been taking care of yourself? How have you been taking care of others? Where have you seen helpers? How can we support each other? How did you help your family during or after the disaster? Did anything good or positive happen because of the disaster? What has this experience made you grateful for?

5 The ABCs of Self-Care Awareness - Assess your own stress level, thoughts and behaviors. Balance - Seek balance in work, personal and family life, rest, and leisure. Connection - Social connection reduces stress (co-workers, friends, family, and community). Awareness- if you are feeling frozen, overwhelmed or in shock this is the time to practice basic self-care to help you feel grounded You maybe feeling OK and ready to help. This is a sign that you are looking for a return to normalcy and feel ready to help others
