You have included a link to a job role description. However, you could have described the role in your own words as well. The career plan, in general, lacks some detail. You could have conducted more detailed research into specific courses to evaluate their suitability for you. You could also have researched more thoroughl;y into apprenticeships. 1.2 You have submitted a personal statement. You need to develop aspects of your personal statement. For example, you could explain more thoroughly the essential journalism skills developed through the year one FMP. Also you m,ust not refer to a specific university in your personal statement. You have not submitted evidence of your UCAS application. Evidence of progression application submitted. You could have discussed your rationale for applying to your chosen university courses, and made links to your personal career plan. 1.2 Use knowledge and understanding of progression routes to make applications within creative media production higher education or related employment. X 2.1 Critically evaluate a range of communication skills and knowledge required to make application to progression routes within creative media production. 2.1 You have researched how to promote yourself as a journalist using examples. You could have discussed the pros and cons of working freelance and linked this point to the significance of promoting yourself effectively. You have analysed examples of digital portfolios commenting on content and style. You could have selected a more appropriate example of an infographic CV. You would have benefitted from identifying the key advantages of creating an infographic / digital CV and analysed better examples. In terms of use of social media, you have analysed two examples. You could have analysed a more current and maybe even local examples on twitter. The last section on Skills required to work for a client seems out of place. Perhaps you should have linked this section of your report to the opening paragraph. You should always aim to finish a report with a conclusion. 2.2 Your digital portfolio is of a good standard. You have completed and submitted a CV. However, there are grammatical errors in your 'About Me' section in your digital portfolio. This would be very unprofessional and, if you were working professionally, would cost you work. Similarly, there are grammatical errors on your CV. I feel that the CV should have been developed so that it evidences your journalistic experience and development of knowledge in more detail. It is not really fit for purpose because the only section that is about your journalism skills, includes grammatical errors. 2.2 Use a range of communication skills and knowledge to support own progression goals. 3.1 Use knowledge and understanding of promotion and presentation skills to support own development and meet identified goals. 3.1 Your digital portfolio is of a good standard.
