Undertaking a uniform application of MJO diagnostics to a number of contemporary GCMs. D. Kim has undertaken the analysis and we plan write up the results into a journal article. The GCMs and associated institution leads are:

Application of Diagnostics to GCMs. ~Done for GCMs contributed by MJOWG (D. Kim/E. Maloney Presentations), IPCC analysis in progress
Developing MJO Forecast Metrics/Diagnostics. ~50% Done, Basic technique established, working with NWP centers to implement a standardized procedure for calculation, presentation, and assessment (M. Wheeler Presentation). This is an activity that is endorsed by the WGNE.
