2010 World Population and Housing Census Programme (launched in 2005)
Recognize PH census as one of the main sources of data for effective development planning and objective decision-making.
More opportunities for Africa to utilize census data. All but 2 states had/will conduct a census during the 2010 round.

Resources: Contribution from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Executing agency: UNSD
Targets: Countries in the African continent where the processing of census data has been completed.

5. Objectives of the project
To facilitate fuller utilization of census data and enhance in-house capacity of NSOs to analyze them.
To facilitate better collaboration between NSOs (producers) and local research institutes/other government offices (users).
