Recommended tools for Ethernet order management
Here’s a summary of the tools you may find useful for Ethernet order management. Tool name Description Manage Product Availability Confirms whether you can have your selected Ethernet product between two particular end points. It will confirm the reach and the indicative category and ECCs to help you make your ordering decision. Infrastructure Discovery (Maps) Shows you Openreach’s fibre network availability, if any, within 500 metres of a given point on a map. If network exists, the tool also gives you an indication of available capacity to help you make your ordering decision. Ethernet Pricing Tool Gives you an indicative quote for an Ethernet circuit based on the product variant and post code or grid references for the sites end points. You may enter up to 250 sites for a bulk quotation, if you have a project of orders you are seeking to deliver. Address Matching Dialogue Service Helps you pinpoint the address where you would like to terminate your circuit. You can use it as a standalone tool before placing your firm order if you would like to check for fibre availability that may already exist at a given site. Siebel (Ordering & Trouble Reports) Use this tool to place your firm order, amend it, suspend it or cancel it. You can also modify or raise a fault during the life of the circuit using this tool. View My Job Order tracking tool that gives you a summary of your order, it’s delivery progress, a history of amendments and delays that have been occurred on your order, and the communications we’ve had with you about the order. Ethernet Escalation Tool Use this tool to raise order escalations with us, make general enquiries or provide additional information through the life of your order. Note: this functionality is due to become integrated into the View My Job tool to minimise the need to switch between tools when you’re monitoring your order progress. Openreach reporting If you wish to use our dashboards to monitor the progress of your order pipeline, you can use this tool. We also have a raw data feed that you can use to create reports using your own data warehousing tools, if you’d prefer. Route Maps When launched, this tool will enable you to enter one or two Ethernet circuit references to see the end to end route that the circuits take plotted on a map so that you can understand how the circuits are routed and whether two circuits share any common infrastructure when discussing resilience with your customer. Tool not yet available; future functionality.
