7 Rotation Schedule Your rotation schedule is an important consideration of your admission to the program.  Program director and clinical coordinator must be able to determine you are meeting ACEND core competencies with your individually planned supervised practice rotation. Incomplete rotation schedules may affect your start date and/or graduation.

8 Rotation Schedule Being at any site less than two weeks is probably not beneficial for you or your preceptor. By the time you are oriented at the site, it’s time to leave. Having to obtain multiple affiliation agreements can be difficult to juggle for everyone involved:  you, your preceptors, your clinical coordinator, and the university official who signs all agreements.

9 Rotation Schedule Keep in mind:
You probably need at least two weeks of LTC clinical.  There are multiple LTC assignments to complete. Does your hospital have a LTC component?  If not, look for a LTC site. Does your community rotation include opportunities for group education, completing a grocery store tour, and developing educational materials?  If not, look for another community site for some of your hours. Your food service rotation is probably best completed at one site, unless you want to complete more than 160 hours.
