April 17-21, 2017 Kindergarten Ms. Ballard, Mrs. Ishman, Mrs. Weber and Mrs. Graf Kindergarten News Specials: HA’s Spring Auction is coming up on Saturday, April 22. Check out the many fun and interesting items to bid on! There is a Kindergarten Art Project of Australian animals in the aboriginal style as well as a super fun, French Culture Party with Mrs. Weber and Mrs. Graf! See the school website for more information. What is Author Spotlight? Your child has been learning about the writing process all year. This is her/his opportunity to share their progress. They will be reading with you and showing you their work. Please let us know if you cannot attend so we can arrange for a special teacher to read with your child. Mon.: No school, Easter Monday Tues. Day 3: Physical Education, Art, Spanish Wed. Day 4: Strings, Music, Computer Thurs. Day 5: Physical Education, Science Lab Fri. Day 6: Music, Spanish, Library – BOOK DAY Upcoming Events Other News April 17 – School closed for Easter Monday April 19 – Denim and blue or green day to benefit water.org. Bring $1.00. May 4 – Strings Concert, 6PM May 8 – Field Trip to The Forum, “Pete The Cat” May 12 – Moms and Muffins/Author Spotlight, 8:10AM May 18 – Field Trip to Indian Echo Caverns May 19 – Dads and Donuts/Author Spotlight, 8:10AM May 26 – Field Day, Class Picnics and Half Day of School May 29 – Memorial Day June 7, 8AM – EC Closing Ceremony – K Graduation! The 26th of May is field day starting at 9:15 am on the field, followed by the class picnic at 10:20. You are welcome to join us for field day and lunch, and then take your child home after the picnic. It is a half day of school that day, so if you are unable to attend the picnic or take your child home, he/she can stay for EDP. We will let you know if your child is the blue or gold team. Field Trips: On May 8, we are going to the Forum to see Pete The Cat. We will be leaving school at 9:30am and returning at 11:30 so no chaperones are needed but you will need to pack a lunch for your child that day. On May 18 we will be going to Indian Echo Caverns leaving at 8:45 and returning around 12:15. To Remember The EC Strings Concert is on Thursday May 5 at 6:00 pm in the McCormick Auditorium. Your child will go home after school and return at 5:45 pm for the concert. You will drop off and pick up your child in a classroom near the auditorium There will be a letter with details coming soon. Clearances Please make sure your clearances are on file. You will need them to go with us on the May field trip. Chaperones needed for Indian Echo Caverns!
