Chirally Selective Solvation of R,S-BNDHP by Cholate Micelles
Exploit atomic specificity of NMR: H4-H8 : sample hydrophobic interior of cholate micelles H5-H7 : experience chirally selective environments H3 : exposed on micellar surface (Note : H8 partially surface exposed) H5 7 mM H6 H7 Aggregate States by NMR: H3 15 mM 7 mM H4-H8 have a hydrophobic interaction with a preliminary aggregate that forms at 7 mM cholate, which is conserved in all subsequent aggregates of cholate A primary cholate micelle forms at 15 mM cholate. Further aggregation occurs ca mM cholate. (data not shown) H3 15 mM H8 H8 7 mM
