4 SDF Update FSA intervention began 01 April 2006
SDF 1 day training 19 July 2006 – Register now SDF Brochures (7) on www Query resolution timeframe has changed to 2 months from 6 months Free ABET – ongoing registration and assessment of learners in all provinces, contact Research Sector Skills Plan due to Dept of Labour 31 August 2006 Annual analyses of grant submissions

5 LEARNERSHIP CASH GRANT 2006/07
Two forms: 1 for SDL paying and 1 for SDL exempt Non SDL payers to register as employers with Fasset irrespective of whether they had a SDL number in the past (forms on www) Length of learnership linked to grant amount i.e. 1 YR- R10 000, 2 YR and 3 YR Allowable learnerships = Fasset and selected others Learner must commence programme between 1 April 2006 and 31 March 2007, apply for an extension before deadline if predicted to be late Timeframe for registering learnership agreements has changed to 30 days - incomplete forms will be returned
