2 Frequency To express frequency you have adverbs and different time expressions. Adverbs (in order of frequency): always, usually, often, sometimes, hardly ever, never They appear between the subject and the verb: I always eat fish when I go to Fuerteventura. Or after the verb “be”: I am usually tired on Sunday morning. Or between the auxiliary verb and the main verb: Do your children always do what they want at their grandparents’ home?

3 Frequency Other time expressions:
once (=one time), twice (=two times), three times, four times, etc. You can say “one time”, “two times” but it’s more colloquial. (about) once/twice/… a day, a month, a week, … every day, every week, every Saturday, … on Mondays, on Tuesdays, at weekends, … All these expressions appear at the end of the sentence: I go to the swimming pool every day.

4 Frequency Questions about frequency:
When do you go to the language school? I go to school on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I always go to school on Mondays but I hardly ever go on Wednesdays. How often does your daughter go the gym? She usually goes in the evenings. She goes there every day.
