OUR QUESTION Latvia people’s most popular folk tales are about animals where each animal has got its typical characteristic feature. For example: a fox is cunning (e.g. – a folk tale “How a fox teaches a wolf to fish”), a bear – clumsy, a wolf – rather stupid, a hare – timid. Our question is following: Are there animals mentioned in your folk – tales and what typical features are attributed to them?

ANSWERS ALL OF THE CIRCLE MEMBERS ANSWERED THAT IN THEIR COUNTRIES ARE TALES WITH ANIMALS. THE ANIMALS ARE MADE SO THEY ACT LIKE HUMANS. FROM TALES WE CAN LEARN A LOT OF THINGS THAT THE GOOD ALWAYS WINS.

In Canadian folk tales the animals are represented just like a human; they have emotions, and they are treated more like people instead of animals the rabbit is the guide of the forest fox is a spy fish are the guide of the sea

One of the famous tales in Arabic Literature is called " Calila wa Damna". These  were the names of two animals (Fox  & Wolf) were all the story was narrated on their tongue .

Children from Libana write, that our question is simple, it motivates us to search for folk tales we read at pre-school classes.
