The geological history of the Earth can be divided into major time periods which are characterized by distinct life forms.
Rocks, landscape, minerals, quarries, trap rock ridges and earthquakes are all geological features. These features influence land use and consequently the lives of the people who live here.
Topographic maps are constructed using contour lines, and they give us a visual layout of the elevation of our land.
Heat flow and movements within the Earth cause the rock cycle, plate tectonics and faulting, as well as earthquakes and volcanic eruptions.
