Selective breeding is a type of ARTIFICAL SELECTION.

When you select two animals to breed you are trying
to keep a useful characteristic of them in their offspring.

This can lead to a variety of the same species of organism.

You may choose two partners that are very fertile and end up
Producing more of that species for meat…

In this country Ewes can now produce two
sets of lambs a year…

And farmers have selectively bred dairy cows to produce
a high quality and quantity of milk. This is useful because They can make more product and thus more money faster.
