First, a bit about the author. His background gives him unique insights into this world which let him speak with authority.
Two of the three start-ups lost out to Competition from Apple and Amazon, the third got bought out in 2017.
The companies on whose boards he served have all suffered dramatically because of Google, Facebook or Amazon, depending on their sector
The author’s background gives him unique insights into how these companies compare to traditional companies and how they are impacting society

I don’t want to review the contents of the entire book with you, but I wanted to give you an intro. If you want to understand how the world has changed because of this technology in the past 20 years and the impact it has for ourselves, but especially our children and grandchildren, you might want to give this book a spin.
