Can Drive
We are collecting canned foods for our can drive. Please help our class win by bringing in the most cans!
A-OK Glove Drive
Students in our A-OK club are collecting hats and gloves! Your student will get a small treat for bringing in donations.
Multiplication
For the next several weeks in math, we will be working on multiplication. Please help your child study their multiplication facts through 10 each night. Students who know their fact through 10 will get a small treat. If every student in the class learns their facts by December 4th, the class will be rewarded with cupcakes!!!
We will be taking a break from geography and switching to science. We will be researching an animal and creating a Google Doc with a partner to write a report about our animal. Our reports will include text features and illustrations to tie in what we have been learning in reading. This will take several weeks to complete. I can’t wait for the students to share these with you!
We will be continuing multiplication! We will be using the strategies we learned last week to solve word problems. We will also be studying patterns in the multiplication table. Our unit 5 test will be on Friday, so we will be using Wednesday and Thursday to review! Please continue work with your student each night on learning their multiplication facts.
This week in reading we are learning to use context clues to help us determine the meaning of unknown words or phrases when reading informational texts. Our Unit 3 test will be next week!
