Learn at least the first verse of William Wordsworth’s poem, ‘Daffodils’.
We have looked at the way he used personification to give the flowers human characteristics.
Your Task:
Write an extra verse using great description – can you challenge yourself to add similes or metaphors (just like we did in class), to describe the daffodils.
Challenge::
Write two extra verses using personification, and imagery.
Extra Challenge:
You must keep the same pattern as Wordsworth’s poem; i.e. same rhyming pattern
Daffodils
I wandered lonely as a cloud That floats on high o'er vales and hills, When all at once I saw a crowd, A host, of golden daffodils; Beside the lake, beneath the trees, Fluttering and dancing in the breeze. Continuous as the stars that shine And twinkle on the milky way, They stretched in never-ending line Along the margin of a bay: Ten thousand saw I at a glance, Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.
