A note from the teachers…
Homework and Newsletter Sept 10th- Sept.14th A note from the teachers… We hope everyone had a great weekend! This week we will be reading and writing words with inflected endings (-s, -ed, -ing). We will not be assessing the students on words with special rules like cry-cries or run-running until later on in the school year but if you want to practice those at home you are welcome to do so! We will also be discovering how to identify main idea and details in a text. In math, we are continuing to build number sense skills and writing addition number sentences within 10. When students have strong number sense, they are able to mentally manipulate numbers and easily solve problems in multiple ways. Those skills are critical for success in higher level math. We are continuing our STEM focus on fairy tales this week with a new story and a new challenge! We are so proud of our engineers! Sincerely, Mrs. Swartz, Mrs. Watson, Ms. Frank, and Mrs. Rakowitz Upcoming Events: Monday, September 10th-Analog night at the library! 6-7:30pm Thursday, September 27th- Fall picture day October 2nd-5th Parent teacher conferences and 1:30 dismissal each day October 8th-12th- Fall Break- No School Citizen of the Week: Hadley shares kind words and actions with our class every day!
