3 types of colonies Charter Proprietary Royal
Colonies given a “charter” or permission to govern themselves in the new world i.e. Connecticut and Rhode Island Proprietary Those with money are allowed to start colonies i.e. Delaware, Maryland, and Pennsylvania Royal The crown governs your colonies i.e. Georgia, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia
