September 2015 Abstract We have been doing power save calibrations based on the power save calibration scenario assumed only for power save calibration. To evaluate more realistic power save gain, this contribution provides initial simulation results of power save mode based not on power save calibration scenario but on modified residential scenario (SS1). The results show that the power save efficiency of PSP operation is maintained in the modified SS1. Hyeyoung Choi, LG Electronics

Test cases in simulation
September 2015 Test cases in simulation 1floor Residential scenario Apartment size:10m x 10m x 3m Case1: Single BSS (1 apartment) 1 AP(on center of apartment), 1~10 STA(random location) Case2: OBSS (2x10 apartments) 20 AP(on center of apartment), 5 STAs(random location) Case 2-1: Fixed 3 channel reuse Case 2-2: Randomly 3 channel reuse Traffic model The MSDU 1500 bytes DL traffic was transmitted every 200ms for each STA. The first data arrival time of STA has uniform distribution for 600ms. Simulation The number of Drop: Case 1-100/Case 2-10 Simulation time of each Drop: 30s Hyeyoung Choi, LG Electronics

The result of Test Case 1 (Single BSS)
September 2015 The result of Test Case 1 (Single BSS) STA(%) AP(%) PS ON/OFF DTIM Listen RX TX Sleep 1 AP, 1 STA Active - PSP 3 5 STA 94.794 10 STA Calibration result[2] 1 AP, 1 STA 99.01 0.97 0.02 98.95 0.07 1.04 0.08 98.81 98.69 1.14 The larger the number of PS STAs is, the shorter PS STA sleeps. Since more PS STA contends channel to transmit PS-POLL 1 AP/1 STA results are almost same with calibration result except TX part When beacon reception is failed, STA doesn’t send PS-POLL Hyeyoung Choi,, LG Electronics

The result of Test Case 2 (OBSS)
September 2015 The result of Test Case 2 (OBSS) Case 2-1: Fixed 3 channel reuse Case 2-2: 3 channel reuse randomly In the case of 3 channel reuse random, PS STA sleeps shorter than PS STA in the case of fixed 3 channel reuse. STA(%) AP(%) PS ON/OFF DTIM Listen RX TX Sleep Active - 94.794 PSP 3 STA(%) AP(%) PS ON/OFF DTIM Listen RX TX Sleep Active - PSP 3 Hyeyoung Choi,, LG Electronics

September 2015 Conclusion This submission provides initial simulation results of power save mode. The power save efficiency of PSP operation is maintained in the modified SS1: Sleep time of PS STA is 96~99% in simulation results. In next step, we will consider the case when there are PS STAs and active STAs together. Hyeyoung Choi,, LG Electronics
