Project Option 1: Record Label
Welcome to Fuego Records where it’s always lit! You are an upcoming rapper/singer and you’ve been inspired by Holy Tony (played by Reggie Couz) to make educational songs about Spanish content. In order to get a record deal you must create a demo to present to the CEO of Fuego Records (Ms. Allyson Vaughan) and her board of directors (the class). Insert Holy Tony video

Project Option 1: Record Label
Your demo must be a minimum of 1 minute and 30 seconds long and must have at least one verse and a hook/chorus. The lyrics must be meaningful and educational with no vulgar or sexual language. You may create a beat or use the instrumentals of a popular song. You may work alone or you may work with 2 other classmates. (NO GROUPS BIGGER THAN 3)

On presentation day, you may perform the demo live in class or record a music video to present to the class. Along with your presentation you will turn in a copy of your lyrics, the rubric, and group evaluation (if it applies).

Your project grade will be based on the following: Content: Did you follow all the directions entirely? Language: Were your lyrics relevant, educational, and creative with no vulgar/sexual content? Creativity: Did you go above and beyond to create your project? Effort: Did you and your group mates utilize the class time given to work on the project? Presentation: Is your presentation organized, entertaining, and put together?

Project Option 1: Lesson Plan
Today, the principal (Ms. Allyson Vaughan) will be entering your class to observe you teaching a lesson. Choose from the content below to create/execute a lesson plan. Your plan must be a minimum of 6 minutes long and must include instruction and an activity for the students to complete. The instruction must be meaningful, educational, and will keep the students engaged. The activity must be challenging yet helpful to the students. You may use a Powerpoint and/or poster board for your instruction and your activity MUST be created not an exact copy of something done in class. You may work alone or with 1 other classmate. (ONLY GROUPS OF 2 ALLOWED!)
