Who have we spoken to? You told us that we needed to speak to people in Merton with learning disabilities and/or autism, their carers and families Since we last met, we have visited lots of community organisations in Merton and we listened to people’s stories and they helped us to improve our plan. Helping more people who live in special hospitals to live in the community. Especially those who have been living in special hospitals a long time. Making support better for those who are in distress or have challenging behaviour (Crisis Support) Making a plan to help us make sure we have the right staff in place and more houses to support people to live in the community Talking to people who have been in special hospitals to listen to their experience to make our plans better Start well, live well, age well

What do you think is most important to people who are distressed (in a crisis)? Being treated close to where they live? Being treated in their own home? Being treated in a special home? Anything else? Thinking about the staff that support people when they are distressed: What skills do you think they should have? How should they speak to people? Other thoughts?
