Another name for the water cycle is the hydrological cycle.
The hydrological cycle/ water cycle is an interchange or recycling of water between the air, sea and land. As such, it is a continuous process in which water moves through the environment.

Evaporation: the process by which water turns into vapour as it rises.
Precipitation: the process by which moisture reaches the surface.
Transpiration: the process by which plants lose moisture.
