Learning Target:
In order to successfully manage my personal finances, I will learn some fundamentals of banking. I will know I have it when I understand: (1) the role of the banking system; (2) how checking accounts differ from savings accounts; (3) the concept of liquidity; (4) the different parts of and functions of a check; (5) how I can monitor my checking account balance; and (6) the consequences of spending more money than I have in my account.
