Aberdeen Proving Ground
Edgewood Area: It is used as a weapon development and test site since WW1. It is listed as an NPL (National Priorities List) site in 1990. Graces Quarters 1.7 km2 USGA-APG (2008) 3

Graces Quarters Solvents are used during weapon testing, probably to remove the active ingredients. These solvents found their way to the groundwater. Two contaminated sand aquifers, shallow and intermediate, with an in-between layer of clayey silt. Main contaminants in groundwater: Tetrachloroethane (TeCA), Carbon tetrachloride (CT), Trichloroethene (TCE), Tetrachloroethene (PCE), and chloroform (CF) USGA-APG (2008) 4
