Job title Head of Commercial Development (2-3 days per week) Job purpose Develop and bring new products to market, ensuring concepts are tested with customers to assess demand, pricing points, manufacturing/supply chain requirements, distribution and promotional/marketing strategies prior to launch. Key accountabilities and activities Develop new concepts/innovations into robust product propositions Manage customer and market research/testing Develop “go to market” plans, identifying the resources needed to deliver success and seek agreement from board of directors Manage the product P&L, ensuring expenditure is within agreed budgets (and money is spent where it is most needed) Manage the execution of all marketing/PR activities in the plan Provide project management and support for R&D programme/innovation register Reports to CEO Direct reports None Key competencies New product development Management of commercial strategies and projects Sales Understands customer requirements and market developments A thorough approach with good attention to detail Ability to collaborate with others to form and lead virtual teams Experience of engaging and influencing diverse stakeholders Strong communication skills – including verbal, written and presentation Location Office
