The Rainforest The Amazon Rainforest is the largest tropical rainforest in the world and is home to many different species of reptiles, mammals, insects, and birds. It is a large habitat that covers an area almost as large as the continental United States.

Interest Groups There are several groups that have interests – or claims – in the Amazon Rainforest. Some of the groups want to help with conservation, others want to continue to use it’s resources and deforestation.

With your group… You will research the ideas and perspectives of your given group and write a list of major ideas that you find.

A Little Discussion Step 1: Each group will present their findings. Step 2: In your groups, discuss which group you feel has the best claims. Step 3:Independently write a paragraph on your opinion to be turned in at the end of class.
