Recount: Biography (focussing on heroes throughout history
Second half term
Narrative: Cliff-hanger stories (focussing on character and setting descriptions)
We will also be working on improving our spelling, punctuation and vocabulary this term in lessons across the curriculum.

HOME LEARNING
Reading, reading and more reading. Let’s get practising in preparation for the
read-a-thon! 
Children will also have some project work sent home this term, which will be closely linked to this term’s topic.

Heroes & Villains
Comic book project! We will be creating a comic style cityscape complete with a superhero, villain and WOW captions over a series of lessons.
Main focus: Our class novel, A Series of Unfortunate Events: The Bad Beginning, by Lemony Snicket
We will also be looking at heroes throughout history & heroes of science.
Later this term, we will be focussing on our WW1 project

RE: Diwali & The Christmas Story
