Hello, my name is Cheri Gladney, I am a new elementary school teacher in Phoenix, Arizona who has come before you District Principals and Administrators to share and bring awareness to you all as it pertains to youth at-risk in our community.

They will feel awkwardly social. They feel uneasy in their environment. They will not work to their fullest potential.

The school’s role in establishing youth development philosophies
Utilize best practice strategies in youth development programming. Create a safe school environment. Deter stereotyping and cultural assumptions. Engage our youth effectively. Create and implement intentional and engaging activities. Engage in experiential education and service learning. Engage older and marginalized young people. Integrate youth development into organizational practice.
