Glycemic response to a pizza meal illustrated on a line graph (DexCom Data Manager 2 Software). At 8:00 p.m., the patient began eating three slices of cheese, chicken, and garlic pizza at the time of the insulin injection. Peak glucose occurred 3.5 hours later, and a correction bolus was given.
