1 Cybersquatting: The act of intentionally registering domain names containing trademarks of prominent companies to demand ransom from those companies Concurrent use: This problem arises when two organizations have apparently legitimate claim to use the same domain name but cannot do so due to uniqueness of domain names

2 Parasites: Parasite domain names are variants on famous domain names being confusingly similar to them to gain business advantage, e.g. macrosoft.com xyz.com vs. xyz.org: The problem arises on account of the fact that second level domain name can be assigned to multiple top-level domain names, e.g. whitehouse.com vs. whitehouse.org
