Delphi Fuel pump. Overshoot protection screw. No load throttle adjust
Access port for electronic governor. Droop adjust screw Screw mountings for governor. Four bolt control cover

Setting the no load/full load freq. & droop.
1.Overshoot screw 2.Overshoot lock nut 3.Governor droop screw lock nut 4.Governor droop screw 5.Throttle lever adjust locknut 6.Pivot locknut 7.Throttle lever adjust screw 8.Actuator blanking plug To set the freq.droop We must do both settings while the engine is running and the overshoot protection disabled. To disable the overshoot, check that the screw ( 1) protrudes 18mm above the top of the locknut (2). If adjustment is necessary, loosen locknut and set screw.
3
Setting the no load/full load freq. & droop.
To set the no load speed: Release the pivot locknut (6) Release the throttle lever adjust locknut (5) Adjust the throttle screw (7) until the required no-load speed is reached (52.5Hz or 63Hz) and tighten the locknut. Then tighten the pivot locknut.
4
Setting the no load/full load freq. & droop.
To set full load speed: With genset on full load, release the droop screw locknut (3), and use an allen key to adjust the droop screw (4) until the required droop is reached (50Hz). Hold the droop screw in position and tighten the locknut ( you may have to adjust the throttle position again).
5
Setting the no load/full load freq. & droop.
Overshoot screw To set the overshoot protection if required: Ensure the genset is on full load, release the overshoot screw locknut (2) and use an allen key to adjust the screw, clockwise (1), until the engine speed begins to reduce. Then rotate the overshoot screw approx. one sixth of a turn counter clockwise. Hold the screw in position and tighten the locknut.

Droop Control Principles.
100% Load Short Droop Metering valve no load position 100% load Droop adjuster up No Load Frequency Small M/V rotation for the area flow means shorter governor droop. Square fill port Flow area for 100% load delivery M/V M/V slot up Square fill port

Droop Control Principles.
Long Droop 100% Load Metering valve no load position 100% load Droop adjuster down No Load Frequency Small M/V rotation for the area flow means longer governor droop. Square fill port Flow area for 100% load delivery M/V Square fill port M/V slot down

To Fit LCS Governor to Delphi Fuel Pump
NOTE: During this conversion a number of components will be removed from the top of the pump control cover, giving access for debris, dirt etc. to enter the pump. Therefore, thoroughly clean the pump control cover with a suitable, approved, non-hazardous cleaning fluid before conversion. To ensure no contamination occurs DO NOT LEAVE UNATTENDED, until conversion is completed!

To Fit LCS Governor to Delphi Fuel Pump
Remove overshoot screw and lock nut as shown below left. Replace the overshoot screw and locknut with the AF plug and washer provided in the kit.
12
To Fit LCS Governor to Delphi Fuel Pump
Remove protective cover from Actuator blanking plug and fixing holes as shown. Clean down pump and remove all debris, then carefully remove Actuator blanking plug using 10mm allen key.
13
To Fit LCS Governor to Delphi Fuel Pump
Lubricate and fit 1off ‘O’ ring ( supplied with the kit ). Then holding the Actuator with the lever facing towards you, rotate the Actuator lever fully clockwise.
14
To Fit LCS Governor to Delphi Fuel Pump
Position the actuator with the electrical connector facing towards you and the lever downwards, as shown. Align the fixing holes and gently position on to the pump and lock in place with mounting screws. *The actuator should be a light push fit, if any resistance is felt the actuator should be removed and the access to the pump checked.*

To Fit LCS Governor to Delphi Fuel Pump
Start genset with the LCS governor plug disconnected and adjust the speed to about 65Hz using the throttle lever adjusting screw and the throttle lever adjusting lock nut, tighten the throttle lever and nut in this position. Plug LCS in. A heat shield has to be fitted if the LCS is to be used on the 3 cylinder Perkins.

To Fit LCS Governor to Delphi Fuel Pump.
The droop screw needs to be set to the following settings when fitting he LCS governor. Engine Type Droop Screw Settings ( turns ) 1004G 1004TG 1006TG2A So droop screw fully in then back out to these settings.

To Fit LCS Governor to Delphi Fuel Pump
All configuration of the LCS will be done at the factory ie Speed, Isochronous, Droop etc, at the moment. Dealers to have configuration files, for downloading on to blank LCS. The LCS upgrade kit contains the following: 1/LCS controller with ‘O’ ring, mounting screws and overshoot blanking plug. 2/Supply harness for the controller.
