4 And Contacting the school.
Use the student planner for things like appointments or queries. Phone if there is a problem or the office. Please note most teachers teach 5 or 6 lessons each day and may not be able to return your call or immediately. Information is shared through the e-bulletin and parent mail so sign up.

5 Attendance Attendance every day is expected unless a child is very ill. Expectation is 96% or above. Our attendance line must be telephoned or you will receive an automatic text advising that your child is absent and asking you contact us. If there is a problem we would rather know early on so that we can help.

6 Punctuality All students must be at registration at 8.30.
A student who is even a minute or two late will be given an automatic detention the same evening unless a valid reason is given for either the lateness or their unavailability for the detention. If they do not attend then this will roll over to the next evening.

7 Mobile phones Phones are allowed in school but they MUST be switched off during the school day and not seen from the time students arrive through the gate and leave the school site. If a phone is seen by a member of staff it will be confiscated and returned to the chid at the end of the day. If this happens again then the phone can be collected only by a parent after 5 days. Please do not ring or text your child during the school day as this may mean they get into trouble. If they are upset and need to speak to someone they should be encouraged to see the SSO or their Form Tutor.
