2. Definition of Revelation
Meaning of Revelation وَحَى ( اسم ) : أَلْهَمَ stimulate or arouse (a person) to
وَأَوْحى رَبُّكَ إِلَى النَّحْلِ أَنِ اتَّخِذِي مِنَ الْجِبالِ بُيُوتاً وَمِنَ الشَّجَرِ وَمِمَّا يَعْرِشُونَ
And your Lord inspired to the bee, "Take for yourself among the mountains, houses, and among the trees and [in] that which they construct.
وَأَوْحَيْنا إِلى أُمِّ مُوسى أَنْ أَرْضِعِيهِ فَإِذا خِفْتِ عَلَيْهِ فَأَلْقِيهِ فِي الْيَمِّ وَلا تَخافِي وَلا تَحْزَنِي
And We inspired to the mother of Moses, "Suckle him; but when you fear for him, cast him into the river and do not fear and do not grieve. Indeed, We will return him to you and will make him [one] of the messengers."

3. Kinds of revelation
وَإِنَّ الشَّياطِينَ لَيُوحُونَ إِلى أَوْلِيائِهِمْ لِيُجادِلُوكُمْ
And indeed do the devils inspire their allies [among men] to dispute with you.
ومعظم ما جاءت كلمة الوحي في القرآن في معنى الوحي المنزل من عند الله وهي الكلمة القرآنية التي ترددت في القرآن في كل آية أراد الله بها بيان طريقة توجيه الأمر الإلهي لرسله وأنبيائه وتعليمهم.
إِنَّا أَوْحَيْنا إِلَيْكَ كَما أَوْحَيْنا إِلى نُوحٍ وَالنَّبِيِّينَ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ وَأَوْحَيْنا إِلى إِبْراهِيمَ وَإِسْماعِيلَ وَإِسْحاقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ وَالْأَسْباطِ وَعِيسى وَأَيُّوبَ وَيُونُسَ وَهارُونَ وَسُلَيْمانَ وَآتَيْنا داوُدَ زَبُوراً
Indeed, We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], as We revealed to Noah and the prophets after him. And we revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, the Descendants, Jesus, Job, Jonah, Aaron, and Solomon, and to David We gave the book [of Psalms].

4. Revelation from Allah
وَما كانَ لِبَشَرٍ أَنْ يُكَلِّمَهُ اللَّهُ إِلَّا وَحْياً أَوْ مِنْ وَراءِ حِجابٍ
And it is not for any human being that Allah should speak to him except by revelation or from behind a partition or that He sends a messenger to reveal, by His permission, what He wills. Indeed, He is Most High and Wise.
وَكَذلِكَ أَوْحَيْنا إِلَيْكَ قُرْآناً عَرَبِيًّا لِتُنْذِرَ أُمَّ الْقُرى وَمَنْ حَوْلَها
And thus We have revealed to you an Arabic Qur'an that you may warn the Mother of Cities [Makkah] and those around it and warn of the Day of Assembly, about which there is no doubt. A party will be in Paradise and a party in the Blaze.
إِنْ أَتَّبِعُ إِلَّا ما يُوحى إِلَيَّ
I only follow that which is revealed to me, and I am not but a clear warner."

5. كيفية نزول الوحي Ways of Revelation
And indeed, the Qur'an is the revelation of the Lord of the worlds.وَإِنَّهُ لَتَنْزِيلُ رَبِّ الْعالَمِينَ
The Trustworthy Spirit has brought it down نَزَلَ بِهِ الرُّوحُ الْأَمِينُ)
Upon your heart, [O Muhammad] - that you may be of the warners عَلى قَلْبِكَ لِتَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُنْذِرِينَ

Clang (loud ringing sound) أسمع صلاصل ثم أسكت عند ذلك
