Jonathan Edwards & George Whitfield state 1)God is angry, 2) individuals must connect with God, 3) everyone gets salvation
Results of First Great Awakening:
1. People rededicate lives to God, challenged authority of established churches, don’t need church just God
2. Since everyone gets salvation, more equality is needed in US
3. New religions gain popularity
