Boundary- A political or geographic border Archives- Official government documents Tariff- A tax on imported goods Revenue- Money that a nation or state collects Westward Expansion- The movement of settlers from the east coast of the United States to the west coast Annexation- To incorporate a country or territory into another country or territory Joint Resolution- A statement passed by both houses of the legislature that has the force of law Expenditure- Money going out Manifest Destiny- The belief that the U.S. should expand its borders from coast to coast
