2. Warm-Up: Literary Features
Match the literary feature to its definition.
Write an original example of each. If you need a topic, write about my cat.
Example: My cat is a dark cloud that rains claws.

3. Appreciating Sonnets Step 1: Read the sonnet.
Step 2: Decide what the overall message of the sonnet is.
Step 3: Re-read the sonnet. Highlight different literary features using different colors (or underline, circle, box…)
Step 4: Pick 3 literary features, and describe how they add to the message.

4. Homework - Due February 18th
Complete your table sonnet for homework. For extra credit, choose a third, independent sonnet.
You will turn in all sonnets AND the warm-up for a grade on Thursday.
