The Macedonians…
Gave despite “a great trial of affliction.” Life was HARD for them!
Gave with “joy”
Gave though in “deep poverty”.
Were rich in liberality - they had an abundance of generosity

“For I bear witness that according to their ability, yes, and beyond their ability, they were freely willing” (2 Corinthians 8:3)
The Macedonians…
Gave beyond their ability
Were freely willing to give

4. Giving Like a Macedonian
“…imploring us with much urgency that we would receive the gift and the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.” (2 Corinthians 8:4)
The Macedonians…
Begged to have the opportunity to enjoy the privilege of giving.

“And not only as we had hoped, but they first gave themselves to the Lord…” (2 Cor. 8:5)
The Macedonians…
Gave themselves first to the Lord.
