The Library is on the 4th floor of Ellis & Kennedy building A Study Centre on the 3rd floor of Ellis & Kennedy building A Study Centre on the 2nd floor of Ball building A Study Centre on the ground floor of Ward building

The Library The college library is on the 4th floor of the Ellis and Kennedy Building It has a collection of over 27,00 books Over 500 DVD’s A large collection of journals and magazines It has 8 computers Study desks for up to 86 students

THE STUDY CENTRES Each building has it’s own Study Centre
They vary in size and capacity, but the largest is in Ellis & Kennedy building Each Study Centre comprises of a number of PC’s and Apple Mac computers A varying amount of study desks

OPENING HOURS The Library is open from 8am until 4pm
The Study Centres are open from 8.30am until 4.30 pm During examination periods the Library will extend its opening hours until late. As these can vary each year we will let you know nearer the time!

THE WORKING ENVIRONMENTS
The Library operates a silent environment. It is meant for private, individual study. There will be no talking at any time. The Study Centres offer a quiet working environment. This means you are able to talk with others but only concerning study and this should be done quietly. Mobile phones should be turned off or turned on to silent in these area’s. You may not operate them within these area’s. Please remember that there is no eating or drinking in either the Library or Study Centre’s apart from bottle water. Any disruption to these rules may result in you being asked to leave

HOW DO I ACCESS RESOURCES IN THE LIBRARY?
To take out resources from the Library you will need your College Pass/ID Card as this also acts as your library card. You can have up to 4 items at a time on your card but only one of these can be a DVD. Journals and magazines are reference only. This means that you are not able to take them out of the room but there is a photocopier where you can make copies of any articles you may require

HOW DO I ACCESS COMPUTERS IN THE STUDY CENTRES?
To use a Study Centres it could not be easier! You not need to ask for any permissions but you must swipe in using your college ID card To access a computer all you need to do is to sit at any vacant computer. Use your college log-ins and password to open a computer. Wi-Fi available To use a study desk, just sit at a vacant desk and start to study
