FIELD OPERATIONS Franchise Business Partner Role and Alignment

2 Overview The Franchise Business Partner (FBP) is the term used for Long John Silvers Franchisees’ corporate contact from LJS Partners LLC. The FBP acts as a liaison between Franchisees and LJS Partners, and as a “partner” to the Franchisees in driving operations excellence. The FBP is the first point of contact for the Franchisee when requesting service, materials or information from the LJS Partners LLC. The FBP is responsible for establishing and maintaining Franchisee relations, partnering with Franchisees to maximize sales and profitability through the execution of business plans and ensuring that Franchisees maintain prescribed standards.

Coach on Operational Opportunities Review P&L Statements Periodically Consult on Marketing & LSM Opportunities New Restaurant Openings Help Franchisees through Opening Process and Provide Ongoing Support Develop Action Plans Help Franchisees Develop Appropriate Action Plans to Resolve Unfavorable Trends in Sales, Operations, Customer Metrics, Food Safety, Etc. Ensure Quality Ensure that Franchisees Uphold the Prescribed Standards

5 FBP Accountabilities Training Controls Policies & Procedures
An FBP will gather information in a variety of ways – The Customer Metrics Program, Customer Comments, the SER, but also through visiting restaurants. The FBP should visit each Franchisee at least once quarterly. The frequency of visit may vary due to workload or travel. The FBP will also conduct two “Owners Meetings” each year to bring together Franchisees within his/her region so they can exchange ideas and information.
