A. Seven teachers with seven different styles of teaching B. No recess / No homeroom C. Higher expectations = treated more like an adult

A. No textbooks B. Lots of Activity / Doing

6 Besides the school-wide rules, this class has only one other rule:
SHOW RESPECT!

7 We follow a basic schedule
The year is divided into 8 units – about 4 weeks each Pretest on the first day of the unit Hand out Unit Cover Page on first day – tape into notebook Daily Brain Starter / activities = graded on completion

Homework page due / scored every Friday Quiz every Friday (graded on score – not completion) Notebook due (completed and scored) on test day Big Unit Test on Tuesday, evaluate Wednesday, study Thursday, re-test (or explore) Friday

9 How points are earned

10 Late work is possible, but not advisable
Late work is possible, but not advisable. Turn in before school starts / talk to me Be Prepared!

11 Bring your supplies to work EVERY day
Several pencils and 1 red colored pen Composition Notebook Calculator Clear Tape Sharpie Marker Scissors 1 roll paper towels (to be used by the entire class)

12 Miscellaneous Items Vacation / Extended Illness “Adult Behavior”
Restroom Breaks Cell Phones Food in Class Blocking others’ view Sign up for Text Reminders Attitude is Everything!
