An Independent external audit of NZFMA member companies measures compliance against the NZFMA Code of Manufacturing Practice.
AsureQuality has been contracted to work with NZFMA on developing audit programmes.

3. Audit Trials 18 areas of records and documentation.
Audits undertaken on a corporate operation and a smaller owner-operated site.
No major or urgent attention items detected.
Were some nonconformances or observations.

Key issue for owner-operated site was lack of records and documentation.
For auditors, if it isn’t recorded, it wasn’t done.
NZ Pork trialling on home miller sites.
Goal is to have a document that is applicable to all members.
