2. God is like a mother

Psalm 131:1-2 1 My heart is not proud, Lord, my eyes are not haughty; I do not concern myself with great matters or things too wonderful for me. 2 But I have calmed and quieted myself, I am like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child I am content.

3. God is compassionate like a mother

Isaiah 49:15-16 15 “Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! 16 See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me.

4. God is sacrificial like a mother

A woman giving birth to a child has pain because her time has come; but when her baby is born she forgets the anguish because of her joy that a child is born into the world Jn 16:21

5. God is comforting like a mother

As a mother comforts her child,. so will I comfort you;

3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God Corinthians 1:3-4

My Son, … do not forsake your mother’s teaching for they are a garland for your head and pendants for your neck. Bind them on your hearts always, tie them around your neck.
