1. Paleolithic/Neolithic Storybook
Your task is to create a storybook about the Paleolithic and Neolithic ages that is suitable to read to a second grade student. Your book should compare the two ages and the Ice Age, and have appropriate illustrations to go along with the factual text. Your goal is to present the information from chapter three in a different and more creative format. Due Oct.22

2. Instructions:
1) Make an outline of the information from your graphic organizer.
2) Your book should have 3 chapters; “The Paleolithic Age”, “The Ice Age” and “The Neolithic Age” The Ice Age chapter will be relatively short.
3) Write a rough draft of your chapters first. Then check to make sure your grammar and spelling are correct. Make sure you have included the information from your graphic organizers and your text. Include Vocabulary Terms and underline them in the text.

3. What to Include, When is it Due?
I will be looking for you to include facts that go with each of the 3 sections of text in Chapter 3.
Paleolithic: Hunter-Gatherers and you should write about their food, clothing, shelter, tools, language development and technology.
Ice Age: how it happen, changes people had to make to survive.
Neolithic: Changes for humankind, farming, shelter, communities, benefits of living in a community.
Story books are DUE OCTOBER 22, 2012

4. Now Put it Together!!
Decide which pictures to include and draw for your illustrations.
Gather your paper and cover paper from the teacher.
Write and illustrate your story NEATLY! Text may be hand written or word processed.
Make a cover for your book… Make sure you have a title on the front and your name (first and last) on the cover of your book. You may illustrate the cover as well.

5. Remember:
You are writing a factual storybook to teach a child about Stone Age people and the changes that led to the first civilizations.
