Europe 2020 education headline indicators
Two education headline indicators Early leavers from education and training Tertiary educational attainment (age group 30-34) Annual averages based on EU-LFS quarterly data 2016 estimates published on 9 February 2017 Based on Q4/2015 – Q3/2016 Relevant Working Groups consulted (LAMAS, ETS) 2016 final results published on 25 April 2017 Press release (26 April) Update (LFS revisions) 12 October 2017 (with LFS Q2 release)

Changes in 2017 (1) Renaming the benchmark indicator 'lifelong learning' (LLL) to 'adult participation in learning' (AL): Why? Alignment to terminology used in policy documents Benchmark indicator refers to 25-64 In general LFS data on participation in ET are for people aged at least 15 and thus do not represent the entire life Where? Online database Explanatory texts (metadata) CircaBC Dedicated section on Eurostat's website Statistics Explained (implementation ongoing)

Changes in 2017 (2) New tables on employment rates of recent graduates (ET2020) by regions (NUTS2) and degree of urbanisation Online since February 2017 all LFS based education indicators are available by NUTS2 Degree of urbanisation Country of birth Citizenship LFS based education indicators Educational attainment Early leavers Adult participation in learning NEETS Recent graduates

The 2016 release of Europe 2020 headline indicators as well as other education data based on EU-LFS The renaming of the indicator 'lifelong learning' (LLL) to 'adult participation in learning' (AL) The new tables on employment rates of recent graduates
