1 Neutrophil / Lymphocyte ratio (NLR)
Abstract ID:  Moderated Poster - MP26 Pre-operative Neutrophil / Lymphocyte ratio (NLR) as a prognosticator in upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC) patients treated conservatively: A retrospective evaluation Defidio L1, De Dominicis M1, Di Gianfrancesco L2,, Antonucci M1, Patel A3 1Cristo Re Hospital, Dept. of Urology, Rome, Italy 2Catholic School of Medicine, Rome, Italy 3London, UK

2 WBC, PLT, N, L counts. (NLR = N / L).
Preoperative Neutrophil / Lymphocyte ratio (NLR) as a prognosticator in upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC) patients treated conservatively: A retrospective evaluation NLR = expression of the involvement of systemic inflammation in neoplasia 130 consecutive patients. WBC, PLT, N, L counts. (NLR = N / L). Comparison with tumor characteristics: Grade, Stage, Focality, Site, Size. Endpoints: Recurrence at 1st follow-up Multiple recurrences during follow-up Progression (Grade +/- Stage)

3 Preoperative Neutrophil / Lymphocyte ratio (NLR) as a prognosticator in upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC) patients treated conservatively: A retrospective evaluation Mean NLR value = 3.48 ± 1.92 Optimum cut-off NLR value: 3 (for all endpoints) – ROC analysis Higher NLR values in: ≥pT1 (p=0.0001) HG (p=0.0009) Multifocal (p=0.028) >1 cm tumor (p=0.0001) Patients with NLR >3 exhibited Risk of recurrence at 1st F-U p=0.007, OR 2.94 Risk of multiple recurrences p=0.006, OR 1.54 Risk of disease progression p=0.04, OR 5 Pre-operative NLR evaluation may provide valuable prognostic information for the selection, clinical management, and surveillance of UTUC patients selected for, or choosing conservative treatment.
